The Great Mystery

Updated: Jul 30

I muse over the mystery of this life. I enjoy the hard questions, because they always lead to more questions than answers, falling deeper and deeper into the abyss of not knowing. The more I read, the more I study, the more I learn, the more I realize how much we don't know. This journey is a mystical, magical, mystery.

I've been working a lot with archetypes lately and through this work, I've been able to fall deeper in love with the mystery. When you start paying attention to the things that you're drawn to and magnetized towards, and you listen to the whispers in your soul, suddenly you realize how much your spirit KNOWS. There is a collective unconscious that we all share based on biology. Mythic symbols come out of this depth. For anyone that has studied psychology, you know that Carl Jung was our pioneer in this realm, while Freud was focused more on the personal unconscious (based on biography, not biology). Every mythology is oriented to a historical situation; it comes out of the people, the land, and it comes out all over this vast world. When I started connecting deeper with my spirit, I began to notice the signs and synchronicities that were leading me closer to her. It's as if footprints were left by an animal, and you're following that animal, and that animal you are trying to follow is your own spiritual self. And the path is marked with all sorts of mythological images. Who is the animal? Well, the animal is the human spirit. Where is the animal's home? It's in your own heart. So as I follow this path, I am led deeper and deeper towards my own spiritual source.

In today's world, one structure is no longer functioning so another structure is created, and we end up being in psychological disarray. These days the social system and the social ideals and also the very physical environment we live in is changing so fast that there is no opportunity for crystallization, to really develop. There's a deep call to make our way back to nature, finding inspiration in both her rhythm and beat. The transformations that I have felt in terms of ethics and how people are expected to behave just in my short life span, have been extraordinary. It's hard to keep up with these social expectations, and I sense it is leaving many of us feeling very disconnected, shapeshifting to fit in to some sort of confining box.

If we don't make the courageous choice to embark on the journey of the soul, the spirit path, we will just be left in an ever changing system that doesn't celebrate our divine sovereignty.

For some it may be more simple, less taxing, to fall in order with with whatever system they find themselves in; and yet, I believe that every individual has it's own challenge, wound, obstacle that they must come to face. This pain point can rear it's head in mid-life or late-life, or perhaps it's been haunting you all along. We ask ourselves, "what have I been doing?' and 'why?"

Perhaps when it comes to living our own myth, we should start by thinking about what most engaged us and fascinated us as children. What could we do for hours and hours without noticing the time pass? Or maybe, we ask what is the most creative thing I could do right now? What is some idea I've had that keeps coming back to my mind? I think if we can find that initial point, we've probably found a point for our own reconstruction. What really excites you? Follow the nudges. No one else can do this for you.

Again, this journey is a mystical, magical, mystery.

I have appreciated the work I've been doing in the Gene Keys because it welcomes you into an extraordinary Mystery School dedicated to unlocking the codes of your own existence. Based on the time and place of your incarnation, you have a unique set of keys waiting to be unlocked. I have been in this process of learning more about my own unique genius and who I am intended to be, instead of spending so much time on becoming what the world says I should. We each have gifts and siddhis waiting to be unlocked. In Richard Rudd's work, he urges us to contemplate our keys and use them as a guide in the ways we relate to ourselves, one another, our work, and the world.

I think one of the greatest statements I ever heard concerning our divinity is "God is pressure." This describes the process where the inner truth that is hidden within human beings is being unlocked. We are actually all pressure machines! This idea of "pressure" has been part of my own Hero's Journey time and time again, as I grew up in a home where there was an extraordinary amount of pressure placed on me to perform. It's a beautiful revelation for me to look at the 61st Gene Key, which resides in my SQ, that deep inside our bodies the pressure of the mystery is hiding inside every single unit of matter in the universe. This mystery is the mystery of our own Christ consciousness, that beautiful light that holds all things together. I get the sense that this light is begging to be released from the pressure cooker, we only have to look within.

I practice my embrace of the mystery through noticing when I am trying to control outcomes or letting fear guide my decisions. The more challenging exercise for me comes when my mind is in psychosis, gaslighting the divinity, and in choosing the spiritual path I feel alone. And yet, I commit to walking the path of divinity, because in this devotion I remember we're all ONE. We can't possibly be alone. I believe we all enter the Mystery in our fullness when we become transparent to transcendence, vulnerable with our hearts, and exercise non-attachment. What an awe inducing journey, indeed.

"What is it we are questing for? It is the fulfillment of that which is potential in each of us. Questing for it is not an ego trip; it is an adventure to bring into fulfillment your gift to the world, which is yourself." - Joseph Campbell, Pathways to Bliss

I believe there are wonders to this existence. I believe that everyone is both fully divine and fully human. I believe many of us are not really trying to understand the meaning of life, but we're trying to really experience it. And I believe when we start to embrace the mystery, we're able to experience this life in it's fullness. And in this fullness we meet dark hours, torments, superhuman deeds, and extraordinary delights. It's not about the agony of the quest, but the rapture of the revelation! And on the other side, we get to meet ourselves anew through every initiation. After all, to quote Joseph Campbell once again, "You are the mystery which you are seeking to know."

May you follow the soul's call.

XO,

Katie
